I grew up in the small township of Donald where my parents owned the local Licensed Supermarket which was the hub of the community.
 
Arriving in Mildura in 1983, I commenced as a Primary School teacher at Mildura Primary School. My enjoyable and rewarding 37 year career in education involved teaching and leadership positions at 6 local Sunraysia schools including 20 years as a Principal. I spent 13 wonderful years in the privileged role as Principal of The Lake Primary School leading the school community through a period of sustained enrolment growth from 126 students in 2007 to 315 at the commencement of the 2020 school year.
  
Family is really important to me. I have been married to my supportive wife Cheryl for 33 years and we are enormously proud of the achievements of our 2 daughters, Tahlea (Speech Pathologist) and Mikaela (Secondary Visual Arts Teacher) who are both based in Adelaide.
  
I am a very active individual with a passion for all sports, particularly AFL Football being a lifelong Essendon supporter. For the past 15 years I have enjoyed long social rides on my road bike each weekend with friends. We have participated in numerous cycling events in Victoria and South Australia. My additional interests include regular gym sessions, reading, television, movies and a passion for travel.
   
I am a high achiever by nature and have been described as self-motivated, hard-working, personable and loyal. These attributes will be assets as I embark on an exciting change of career direction. I successfully completed the Agent Representative course at the Real Estate Institute of Victoria in early 2020. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to join the award-winning team at Collie & Tierney First National.
